Colombo is located in the east, the most notable feature being the series of craters including Colombo, Gutenberg, and Goclenius that traverse the region diagonally from the northwest to the southeast. There is a sea on either side of these craters, Mare Fecunditatis (Sea of Fecundity) to the northeast and the Mare Nectaris (Sea of Nectar) to the southeast.
